Numismatic Bibliography

The numismatic bibliography is a constant work in progress. Our goal here is very simple: to identify major English-language references in a variety of numismatic disciplines. Please note: most standard references are written in the language of the country with which the reference is concerned (e.g., the major standard references on German numismatics are written in the German language, not in English). Moreover, many of the standard references on ANCIENT and MEDIEVAL numismatics are written in German or French, not in English. If you are an advanced collector, or if you are seeking references in a language other than English, you are strongly encouraged to visit the LIBRARY CATALOG search engine of the American Numismatic Society and the American Numismatic Association's Dwight N. Manley Numismatic Library's Search.
